I heartily welcome you to this new blog, looking to contribute to the quality networking that new media have afforded us. In this space I intend to do pretty much what I’ve been doing elsewhere for a long time, that is look around, take stock of what is, or is not happening, try an analysis and voice opinion in order to stimulate debate and engage a conversation.

A lot of the material in this space will be exploratory, in the sense that I will seek to know, because it is obvious that there is much that I still need to learn, and everyone participating in this blog will, to me, be a teacher. Whenever what I contribute is deemed useful, I will be only too happy to share with others. Learning has always been a two-way, often multiple-way process.

But I shall attempt to make it not too boring. Even as we gather knowledge, form opinions and sharpen our debating skills, we can also have moments of enjoyment wherein we laugh at things, others and ourselves and thoroughly enjoy life. In pursuit of this I propose to have anecdotes, quips and other light hearted entries whose purpose will be to amuse and relax, even as we learn mutually.

As we progress I shall post photographs –my personal photo album is coming–, video footages and audio documents that I hope will enliven the discussion and entertain us as well, and I’ll ask all my correspondents to do the same. The idea is to share.

The languages will be Kiswahili and English.
