Viongozi wa dini wanashambuliwa (wawili wameuawa tayari), kumekuwapo na mabishano juu ya nani ana haki ya kuchinja nyama kwa ajili ya biashara, na malumbano mengi mno yasiyo na tija yo yote kwa taifa. Watu wameanza kuangaliana kwa mtazamo wa “Huyu ni wa dini gani?” Nchi yetu inakabiliwa na hatari ya kweli ya kusambaratika au kuingia katika zahma kuu. (more…)

The noisy debate surrounding plans to pipe natural gas from Mtwara is yet another illustration of the disconnects that we have managed to create in our country over the past couple of decades.
